Where do your donations go?
“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” – Winston Churchill.
People with a disability, either medically diagnosed or due to an accident are often faced with many daily challenges. It can take months, sometimes years, for a person with a recently diagnosed or acquired disability to be approved for permanent funding to pay for support workers to assist them with their daily needs or to purchase mobility equipment.
Each dollar you donate to Supportivity will go directly to provide temporary emergency support for people with a disability to assist them with in-home support or purchase mobility equipment (wheelchairs, shower chairs, hoists etc.) enabling them to live in their own home and participate in the community. Your generous donation will also help to pay for temporary in-home support to help these individuals with their daily needs for a few hours per day until permanent funding is secured for long term care.
